EMILY TO CARRY THE OLYMPIC TORCH

Congratulations to Emily Dale-Beeton, who competed for the Island in the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games, on being selected as part of the relay part to carry the Olympic Torch through the streets of Douglas on the 2nd June.

Emily will be carrying the Olympic Torch for around 300m on Peel Road, Douglas. Between the Pulrose Rd traffic lights and the Jehovah Witness Church. This is estimated to be at 11.00am on the morning of the 2nd June.

Please do turn up to cheer Emily on !

CELTIC CUP 2012

Congratulations to the Minor Boys Team who took the team Bronze medal recently at the annual Celtic Cup in Dublin. The team of Oliver Scott, Cedric Lucas, Nicholas Harvey, Robert Jones, pictured above, all performed
well on the day.

Well done to Tony Duchars who achieved the overall Silver medal in the Boys Junior Competition.

The girls, Rebecca Johnson, Tara Donnelly, Emelie Haddock and Sinead Hands delivered some personal bests - see results and article for full details.

COMMONWEALTH GAMES 2014 INFO PAGE ADDED

We have added a page to this website, dedicated to making information about the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow available to the members of the Isle of Man Gymnastics.

We hope to keep this page updated with all information leading up to this event, including team selection criteria, training and competitions dates etc.

BRITISH CLUB GRADES 2012

Congratulations to the Grade 5 team at the recent British Club Grades 2012 who took to the podium to proudly receive the overall Team Bronze medal.
Well done to Emily Dale-Beeton for her overall individual Silver Medal for Grade 5 after finishing 1st on Beam, 2nd on Floor & 7th on Vault and to Ciara Goddard for 2nd Beam , Holly Black finishing 4th on Beam and 10th on Floor, and Nicole Burns 8th Overall & 6th on Beam.

Other individual achievements include Radha Patel : 11th UB (Gr 6) Tara Ferguson 16th BB & Chloe Donnelly 9th FX(Gr 7)

Well done to the Gr 8 gymnasts, Eve Wiltcher, Ciara Wilders, Iona Cheetham, Lauren Kerruish & Imogen Wild, who represented the island for their first time at National Finals.

IOMGA MAG NDP 2012

Sunday 18th March saw 15 boys compete in the Isle of Man National Development Plan (NDP)
Championship. The boys were Hugo Hughes (MG), Ewan McIlraith (MG) and Oshin Kaighin (EV) Pre
level 1. Adam Palmer (EV), Jack Collister (MG), Andrew Ivshin (MG), Jamie Meggit (MG) and Simon
Tibitanzl (MG)Level 1. Aaron Dougherty (MG), Joshua Morrison (MG) Glen Quayle level 2. Connor
Esp , Alex Warrilow and Callum Kewley level 3. Jack Ussher (MG)Level 4.

All the boys competed well. Congratulations to the IOM NDP champions.- Pre-level 1 - Oshin Kaighin (EV) L1 - Simon Tibitanzl (MG). L2 - Aaron Dougherty. L3 Callum Kewley & Jack Ussher L4. Selected to represent the Isle of Man at the NDP finals in Birmingham in their respective levels are :- Adam Palmer (EV),Jack Collister (MG), Simon Tibitanzl (MG), Aaron Dougherty (MG), Joshua Morrison (MG) Glen Quayle (EV) Connor Esp , Alex Warrilow & Callum Kewley.

IOMGA WAG GRADES QUALIFIER 2012

Congratulations to all gymnasts who competed at the 2012 IOM Grades Nationals to qualify for the forthcoming Finals to be held in England.
 On the same day a trial for the Celtic Cup event, was held, in which 4 girls qualified to compete on behalf of ths Isle of Man.

IOMGA INVITATIONAL COMPETITION - 26 & 27 NOV

The 9th annual IOM Invitational took place at Ellan Vannin Gymnastics Club. Teams from Yorkshire, Milton Keynes, the North West, Scotland & IOM competed.
