Last weekend there was a trial to qualify
for the Island Games in Bermuda, to be held in July. The second set of trials will be held in March when the gymnasts will have a further opportunity to increase their scores and current ranking. The final trials will be held in March/April after which time the teams will be announced. We wish all the gymnasts lots of luck in
their ongoing training programme for this event and look forward to their spectacular performances
at the forthcoming trials.

Well done to all involved.

Good luck to Madison Nicol (Ellan Vannin) who will represent the Isle of Man at the National Finals of the British Gymnastics Level 4 Voluntary competition on Sunday 4th November.

Madison is currently the Isle of Man 9&u champion having retained her title at this year's Isle of Man Championships.

Congratulations to our gymnasts who competed in Glasgow recently at the Northern European Championships where teams from Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Denmark took part.

This was the first time IOM has entered a full team of Women & are very pleased with their placing 8th out of 10 teams. Tara Donnelly qualified for the Floor Apparatus Finals which was a great accomplishment. She placed 8th on floor with a score of 12.250.

The MAG team finished 8th in the team competition. Alex Hedges achieved a 73.350 AA score which he can use for consideration towards selection to CWG 2014.

Well done to all the children who competed at the 2012 Isle of Man General Gymnastics competition on 16 June.

The event was a great success and enjoyed by everyone who attended.
